Terms and Conditions
General Terms & Conditions for Wilderness Spirits Retreats
These General Terms and Conditions apply to all retreats, experiences, and events
organised by Wilderness Spirits Ltd (hereafter referred to as “we,” “our,” or “the
organisers”), including but not limited to retreats operated under our brands such as Turas
Mòr and CopperCairn. By booking or attending any Wilderness Spirits retreat, guests agree
to comply with the following terms and conditions. A full, retreat-specific Terms and
Conditions document will be provided to all participants for signature prior to attendance.
1. Booking and Payment
A non-refundable deposit (typically 20% of the total fee) is required to secure a place on
any retreat. Final balances are due no later than 60 days prior to the start date of the
retreat, unless otherwise stated in the event’s details. Failure to make full payment by the
due date may result in cancellation of the booking and forfeiture of the deposit.
2. Cancellations and Refunds
Cancellation policies may vary depending on the specific retreat, but deposits are non-
refundable in all cases. If a retreat is cancelled by the organisers, participants will receive a
full refund of all payments made, including the deposit. No responsibility will be accepted
for any associated costs such as travel or accommodation booked independently.
3. What’s Included
Each retreat includes accommodation, meals, and scheduled activities as outlined in the
retreat itinerary. Full details of inclusions will be provided in the specific Terms and
Conditions for each retreat.
4. What’s Not Included
Travel to and from the retreat location, travel insurance, personal expenses, and additional
beverages are not included unless explicitly stated.
5. Insurance and Liability
All participants are required to hold appropriate travel insurance covering cancellations,
medical emergencies, and participation in any physical or outdoor activities. Wilderness
Spirits Ltd, its directors, and staff shall not be held liable for injury, loss, or damage arising
from participation in retreat activities, except in cases of proven negligence.
6. Health, Safety and Fitness
Participants must ensure they are physically and medically fit to take part in retreat
activities. Medical conditions, dietary requirements, or accessibility needs must be disclosed
to the organisers at least 30 days prior to the retreat. We reserve the right to exclude
individuals from specific activities if participation is deemed unsafe.
7. Conduct and Behaviour
Guests are expected to act respectfully toward other participants, staff, and venues. We
reserve the right to remove any guest without refund if their behaviour is deemed
inappropriate, disruptive, or unsafe.
8. Alcohol Consumption
Alcohol may be provided as part of the experience, but guests are expected to drink
responsibly. We reserve the right to restrict or remove access to alcohol if a guest’s
behaviour poses a risk to themselves or others.
9. Force Majeure
Wilderness Spirits Ltd will not be held liable for cancellations or changes caused by
circumstances beyond our control, including natural disasters, pandemics, strikes, or
government restrictions. In such cases, we will make every effort to reschedule the event or
offer fair alternatives.
10. Photography and Media
By attending a Wilderness Spirits retreat, guests consent to being photographed or filmed.
Images may be used for marketing and promotional purposes unless guests notify us in
writing prior to the retreat.
11. Data Protection and Privacy
Wilderness Spirits Ltd complies fully with GDPR regulations. Personal information collected
during booking will be securely stored and used solely for the purposes of organising and
communicating about the retreat.
12. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Scotland. Any disputes shall be
subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
For clarity: A full, retreat-specific Terms and Conditions document will be sent to each
participant prior to their retreat, and must be signed before attendance.
