We started with an 17 year-old unpeated Bruichladdich Single Malt matured in Ex-Bourbon casks—known for its elegant, floral style with a coastal freshness and a focus on barley character.
Rather than bottle it as-is, we saw an opportunity to elevate and deepen the flavour by giving it a carefully considered secondary maturation.
For the 12 months of its 18-year journey, we finished the whisky in Caribbean rum casks.
The result is a vibrant marriage of Bruichladdich’s refined, maritime character with layers of tropical fruit, rich sweetness, and a touch of warming spice — a dram that feels both timeless and exotic.
